Terms of Service

Effective September 6, 2026. Published by Wand Compliance LLC, doing business as The Ready Seat and The IEP Command Kit.

Please read these Terms of Service (the “Terms”) carefully. They are a binding agreement between you and Wand Compliance LLC, a Virginia limited liability company doing business as The Ready Seat and The IEP Command Kit (“we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Company”). They govern your use of iepcommandkit.com and thereadyseat.com (the “Site”) and your purchase and use of The IEP Command Kit, The IEP Ready Room, the IEP Calendar + Email Updates, and any other digital product, course, template, download, portal, or email content we provide (together, the “Products”).

By using the Site or buying a Product, you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund Policy. Together they form the complete agreement between you and us. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or buy a Product.

Important: Section 20 contains an agreement to resolve disputes through binding individual arbitration and a waiver of class actions and jury trials. You may opt out within 30 days of your first purchase. Please read it.

1. Who we are and how to reach us

The Products are published by Wand Compliance LLC, doing business as The Ready Seat (the publisher) and The IEP Command Kit (the storefront at iepcommandkit.com). Charges appear on your card statement as IEPCOMMANDKIT.

Mailing address: Wand Compliance LLC, 8401 Mayland Drive, Suite A, Richmond, VA 23294, United States.

Email: info@iepcommandkit.com. Phone: (202) 798-2170. Email is the fastest way to reach us. A person reads every message, and we aim to answer within two business days.

2. Definitions

A few terms have specific meanings in this agreement.

  • “Kit” means The IEP Command Kit, the paid digital document kit described in Section 4.

  • “Ready Room” means The IEP Ready Room, the educational video and reference library included with the Kit.

  • “Add-on” means any optional product offered at checkout or after purchase, such as the IEP Calendar + Email Updates.

  • “Access Link” means the personal link in your receipt or on the thank-you page that opens your materials without a password.

  • “Order” means a completed purchase confirmed by an emailed receipt.

  • “Products” means the Kit, the Ready Room, every Add-on, and any other digital content, download, portal, video, or email we provide.

  • “You” means the person who buys or uses a Product, and any organization on whose behalf that person acts.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to buy a Product. The Site and Products are designed for parents, guardians, and caregivers of school-age children and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly sell to or collect information from anyone under 18.

If you buy on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and “you” includes that organization. Organizations, practices, and professionals need the separate license described in Section 10.

You may not use the Site or Products if you are located in a country subject to a comprehensive United States embargo or are on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

4. What you are buying

The Kit is a digital, downloadable set of fillable document templates, meeting scripts, logs, checklists, and a printable Meeting Question Sheet, organized by the phases of the IEP process. Every letter is provided as a printable PDF and as an email template you can copy and send.

Your purchase includes access to the Ready Room, a library of short educational videos and reference materials delivered through a live link that we update over time.

At checkout or after purchase we may offer optional Add-ons, such as the IEP Calendar + Email Updates, which provides a deadline calendar plus two years of email alerts about changes to federal special education rules and verified state-level updates. Add-ons are separate purchases with their own descriptions and prices, shown before you pay.

Everything we sell is delivered digitally. Nothing is shipped. Product images that show binders, booklets, or printed pages illustrate what you can print at home; they are not physical goods.

We do not currently sell subscriptions or recurring memberships. If we offer one in the future, its price, billing cycle, and cancellation terms will be shown clearly before you agree to it, and you will not be enrolled in any recurring charge without your separate, express consent.

5. Educational information, not legal advice

The Products explain how the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and related rules generally work, and they give you templates you can fill in for your own child. They are educational information and self-help document templates, in the same category as a self-help legal book.

They are not legal advice, not legal representation, and not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney or a qualified special education advocate who knows the facts of your situation and the rules of your state. Using the Site or the Products does not create an attorney-client relationship with us, with any reviewer, or with any advocate we work with. We are not a law firm and we do not practice law.

We do not apply the law to your individual facts, we do not review your child’s records, and we do not communicate with your school district on your behalf. Every school district makes its own decisions. We make no promise about how any school, district, evaluator, mediator, or hearing officer will respond to any letter, request, or meeting, and no Product guarantees any educational outcome, eligibility determination, service, placement, or accommodation for any child.

Laws, timelines, and forms vary by state and change over time. If you need advice about your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney in your state. Every state also has a federally funded Parent Training and Information Center that offers free help to families.

6. Your responsibilities

The Products work only when you use them for your own situation. You agree that you are responsible for:

  • the accuracy of everything you type into a template, and the content of any letter, form, or message you send to a school, district, evaluator, or anyone else;

  • confirming any deadline or procedure with your state’s rules or your district’s procedural safeguards notice before relying on it;

  • keeping your own copies of the documents you complete and send, and of anything you download;

  • keeping a working email address on file with us and protecting your Access Link;

  • deciding whether and when to involve an attorney or advocate; and

  • complying with the law and with your school district’s legitimate rules when you use the materials.

7. Purchases, pricing, and payment

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars at checkout. The Kit is a one-time charge of $57.00 USD. Add-ons are priced separately and charged only if you select them. We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an Order you already completed.

Sales tax, VAT, or similar taxes may be added where required by law and are shown before you pay. Any price shown before tax excludes those taxes. We collect and remit tax through our payment processor where we are required to do so.

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. under Stripe’s own terms and privacy policy. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, which may include major cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. We never see or store your full card number.

By submitting a payment you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method and you authorize us and Stripe to charge the total shown. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend access until it is resolved.

One-click offers: after you buy, we may show you an additional offer that you can accept with a single click. The price is shown on that offer before you click. By clicking the accept button you authorize us to charge that amount to the same payment method you just used. Every one-click purchase is covered by the Refund Policy and is listed on its own receipt.

Promotional codes have no cash value, cannot be combined unless we say otherwise, and may be withdrawn at any time. Prices and offers shown to one customer do not obligate us to extend them to others. A completed purchase is confirmed by an emailed receipt, which is your proof of purchase.

8. Delivery, access, and immediate digital delivery

Access is delivered by email to the address you enter at checkout, usually within minutes of payment, together with a thank-you page that opens the delivery portal directly. Your receipt contains your Access Link. Keep it private: it is tied to your Order, and anyone who has it can open your materials. You are responsible for anything done through your Access Link until you tell us it has been compromised.

You may download and save the files to your own device, and you may keep every file even if you later request a refund. We will keep the online portal and the Ready Room available for as long as we operate the Products, and we will give reasonable notice by email before retiring them so you can download anything you want to keep.

If you lose access, email us from your purchase email address and we will restore it. It is your responsibility to keep a working email address on file and to check your spam and promotions folders for our messages.

Because the Products are digital content delivered immediately, by completing your purchase you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that any statutory right to cancel a digital content purchase may end at the moment of delivery. Our 30-Day Guarantee in Section 9 applies regardless, and it is broader than any such statutory right.

We may perform maintenance or experience outages from time to time. We do not guarantee that the Site or portal will be available without interruption.

9. Refunds and the 30-Day Guarantee

Every purchase of the Kit is covered by our 30-Day “Most Prepared Person in the Room” Guarantee. If you do not feel like the most organized, prepared person at that table, email info@iepcommandkit.com within 30 days of purchase and we will refund 100% of what you paid. You keep every file.

The same 30-day window applies to any Add-on purchased at checkout or after purchase, measured from the date of that purchase.

The full policy, including how refunds are processed, duplicate charges, and our approach to chargebacks and abuse, is in our Refund Policy at iepcommandkit.com/refund, which is part of these Terms.

10. Your license and permitted use

When you buy a Product we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, print, fill in, adapt, and use the materials for your own family and the children in your care, for as long as you comply with these Terms.

You may share a filled-in letter or form with your child’s school, evaluator, advocate, attorney, or anyone else involved in your child’s education. That is what they are for. You may also share the Products within your own household, for example with a co-parent or guardian of the same child.

You may not:

  • sell, rent, sublicense, lend, or give away the Products or your Access Link;

  • post the templates, scripts, videos, or course content anywhere public, including social media, forums, shared drives, or file-sharing sites;

  • use the Products to provide services to clients, or as materials for a practice, agency, school, district, nonprofit, or business, without a separate written license from us;

  • remove or alter any copyright notice, seal, or attribution;

  • use the Products, or any part of them, to build or train a competing product, service, dataset, or artificial intelligence model; or

  • claim the Products or their contents as your own work.

Advocates, attorneys, practices, schools, and organizations that want a multi-family or client-facing license can email info@iepcommandkit.com and we will arrange one. Any right not expressly granted in these Terms is reserved by us.

11. Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

  • access the Site or portal by automated means, including scraping, crawling, or bulk downloading;

  • attempt to bypass, disable, or probe any security, access control, or payment feature;

  • share, publish, or resell Access Links or login links;

  • use the Site or Products for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes anyone’s rights;

  • misrepresent your identity or your authority to act for a child;

  • use the materials to harass, threaten, or defame school staff or anyone else;

  • upload or send us any student’s records, evaluations, or other confidential documents (we do not want them; see Section 15); or

  • interfere with the operation of the Site or with other customers’ use of it.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations without refund, as described in Section 22.

12. Intellectual property and copyright complaints

The Site and the Products, including every template, letter, script, checklist, log, video, illustration, design element, seal, and the text of this Site, are owned by Wand Compliance LLC or our licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The IEP Command Kit, The Ready Seat, The IEP Ready Room, and the associated logos and seals are our trademarks, whether or not registered. You may not use them without our written permission, except to accurately refer to the Products.

Facts about the law belong to everyone. Our expression of them belongs to us. Filled-in copies you create for your own child are yours to use as described in Section 10.

If you send us ideas, suggestions, testimonials, or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and publish them in connection with the Products, without obligation to you, and you confirm you have the right to grant that license. We will not publish a testimonial with your full name or image without asking you first, and you can withdraw a published testimonial at any time by emailing us.

Copyright complaints: if you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice to info@iepcommandkit.com with the subject line “Copyright notice,” or by mail to Wand Compliance LLC, 8401 Mayland Drive, Suite A, Richmond, VA 23294. Identify the work, identify the material you believe infringes and where it appears, include your contact information, state that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, and state that your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner. We respond to complete notices promptly and may remove or disable the material while we review.

13. Disclosures: reviewers, advocates, testimonials, and partners

We build the Products with a special education teacher and have them reviewed by credentialed special education advocates and, where noted, attorney consultants. Reviewers are compensated for their work. Where a reviewer, advocate, or partner is named on the Site or in the Products, the relationship is a paid one unless we say otherwise, and it is disclosed in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials.

Advocates or partners who recommend the Products may receive a share of revenue from those recommendations. Reviewing the Products does not make any reviewer your advocate or attorney, and no reviewer gives individualized advice through the Products.

Any customer testimonial we publish reflects that person’s own experience and is not a promise of results. If a testimonial was given in exchange for a free copy or other consideration, we say so where it appears. Quotes we use to describe common parent experiences are anonymized market research about the problem, not endorsements of the Products, unless they are clearly labeled as customer testimonials.

We do not use fabricated personas, stock photos presented as real experts, or edited images implying credentials. Where the Site describes the people who built or reviewed the Products, those descriptions are true. Any statistic on the Site is either cited to its source or describes our own materials.

14. Accuracy, updates, and state variations

We work hard to keep the Products accurate. Federal-level statements are checked against the IDEA statute and regulations before they ship, and we update the materials as rules change. Even so, laws, regulations, timelines, forms, and local practice vary by state and district and change without notice, and we may not catch every change immediately.

Deadlines in the Products describe federal baselines unless a state-specific pack says otherwise. Some states count school days while others count calendar days, and some states set shorter or longer timelines than the federal rule. Before relying on any deadline or procedure, confirm it with your state’s department of education, your district’s procedural safeguards notice, or a professional.

Where the Products provide state-level information, it is offered only for the states we have verified and is labeled accordingly. We may add, change, or retire content at any time; your access continues at no additional cost while we operate the Products.

15. Your information, communications, and electronic records

Our Privacy Policy at iepcommandkit.com/privacy explains what we collect and how we use it, and it is part of these Terms. Three points matter enough to repeat here.

First, by completing a purchase, you agree to receive transactional receipts, onboarding materials, and related educational updates. You may opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link, and opting out never affects your access to what you bought.

Second, please do not send us your child’s records. We do not ask for, need, or want your child’s IEP, evaluations, diagnoses, school communications, or any document containing student information, and we do not review them. If you email one to us by mistake, we will delete it. The templates are designed to be completed on your own device, and the completed documents live with you, not with us.

Third, you agree that we may provide these Terms, receipts, notices, and other communications to you electronically, by email or by posting on the Site, and that electronic records and signatures satisfy any requirement that a communication be in writing. You may request a paper copy of these Terms by emailing us.

16. Third-party services and links

We rely on third parties to run parts of the Site and Products, including payment processing (Stripe), website hosting and analytics (Framer), email delivery, video hosting, and scheduling or advertising tools. Each has its own terms and privacy practices, which govern your use of that service. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

Links to outside websites, including government resources, are provided for convenience and are not endorsements. We do not control their content and are not responsible for it.

17. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND THE PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PRODUCTS WILL MEET YOUR NEEDS, THAT ANY SCHOOL OR DISTRICT WILL RESPOND IN ANY PARTICULAR WAY, THAT ANY OUTCOME WILL RESULT FOR ANY CHILD, THAT THE CONTENT IS COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

NOTHING IN THIS SECTION LIMITS THE REFUND RIGHTS DESCRIBED IN SECTION 9. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THESE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

18. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WAND COMPLIANCE LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, REVIEWERS, ADVOCATES, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS (THE “COMPANY PARTIES”) WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY, MISSED DEADLINE, EDUCATIONAL OUTCOME, OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE, THE PRODUCTS, OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF THE COMPANY PARTIES FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE, THE PRODUCTS, OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE PRODUCTS IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

THESE LIMITS APPLY TO EVERY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, AND ARE A FUNDAMENTAL PART OF THE BARGAIN BETWEEN YOU AND US. THEY DO NOT LIMIT LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR FRAUD, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, OR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE WHERE APPLICABLE LAW FORBIDS SUCH LIMITS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO SOME MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

19. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company Parties from any claim, loss, liability, damage, or expense, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or your use or misuse of the Products, including any document you send to a school or other party. We may take over the defense of any matter subject to indemnification at our expense, and you agree to cooperate with us.

20. Dispute resolution: arbitration and class action waiver

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights.

Talk to us first.

Most concerns can be fixed with an email. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to send a written notice to info@iepcommandkit.com with the subject line “Dispute notice,” or by mail to the address in Section 1, describing the problem and what you want, and to give us 30 days to resolve it. We will do the same before bringing a claim against you.

Binding arbitration.

If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and we agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or the Products (a “Dispute”) will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, available at adr.org. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitrator, not a court, decides all Disputes, including the scope and enforceability of this arbitration agreement, except that a court decides questions about the enforceability of the class action waiver below.

Arbitration may be conducted by telephone, video, or written submissions. Any in-person hearing will be held in the county where you live or another place we both agree to. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could award. Filing fees and arbitrator compensation are governed by the AAA rules. If your claim is for $10,000 or less, we will pay all arbitration fees other than any initial filing fee the AAA rules require you to pay, and we will reimburse that fee if the arbitrator rules in your favor. The arbitrator’s decision is final and may be entered as a judgment in any court with jurisdiction.

Exceptions.

Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies. Either party may ask a court for an injunction to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property. Nothing in this section prevents you from reporting a concern to a government agency, including a state attorney general or the Federal Trade Commission.

Class action waiver.

YOU AND WE AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate the claims of more than one person or preside over any form of representative proceeding. If this waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim must be brought in court, and the remaining claims stay in arbitration.

Jury trial waiver.

To the extent a Dispute proceeds in court rather than in arbitration, you and we each waive any right to a jury trial where the law permits.

Opt-out.

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing info@iepcommandkit.com with the subject line “Arbitration opt-out” within 30 days after your first purchase, stating your name and purchase email. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

Time limit.

Any Dispute must be filed within one year after the claim arises, or it is permanently barred, where the law allows such a limit.

21. Governing law and venue

These Terms and any Dispute are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs Section 20.

For any matter that is not subject to arbitration, you and we consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state courts located in Henrico County, Virginia, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and you waive any objection to that venue. Nothing in this section prevents either party from bringing a qualifying claim in small claims court where you live.

If you live outside the United States, you use the Site and Products at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law. Consumers in some countries have rights under local law that cannot be waived, and nothing in these Terms reduces them.

22. Termination and suspension

You may stop using the Site at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or a Product if you materially breach these Terms, if we reasonably believe you are sharing or reselling access, if a payment is reversed, or if the law requires it. If we terminate for breach, no refund is owed.

If we discontinue a Product for any reason other than your breach within 30 days of your purchase, we will refund you in full. If we discontinue a Product later, we will give reasonable notice by email so you can download anything you want to keep.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including Sections 10 through 12 and 17 through 21, survive.

23. Changes to the Products and these Terms

We improve the Products over time and may add, revise, or retire content, features, and formats. We may also revise these Terms. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for changes that affect existing customers, notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Site and Products. Changes to Section 20 will not apply to Disputes that arose before the change.

24. Accessibility

We want every parent to be able to use these materials. If you have trouble accessing any part of the Site or the Products because of a disability, email info@iepcommandkit.com or call (202) 798-2170 and we will work with you to provide the content in a format you can use.

25. Notice for California residents

Under California Civil Code Section 1789.3, California residents are entitled to the following information. The provider of the Site and Products is Wand Compliance LLC, 8401 Mayland Drive, Suite A, Richmond, VA 23294. To resolve a complaint about the Site or Products or to receive further information, contact us at info@iepcommandkit.com or (202) 798-2170. You may also contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Boulevard, Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.

26. General terms

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site and Products and replace any earlier understanding. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the extent permitted and the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them to an affiliate or to a successor to our business, and we will honor every Order already completed. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, agency, joint venture, or employment relationship. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages at our service providers.

Notices to you may be sent to your purchase email address. Notices to us must be sent to info@iepcommandkit.com or to the mailing address in Section 1. In these Terms, “including” means “including without limitation.” Headings are for convenience only. The English version of these Terms controls over any translation.
