Privacy Policy
Effective September 6, 2026. Published by Wand Compliance LLC, doing business as The Ready Seat and The IEP Command Kit.
This Privacy Policy explains how Wand Compliance LLC, doing business as The Ready Seat and The IEP Command Kit (“we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Company”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit iepcommandkit.com or thereadyseat.com (the “Site”), buy or use The IEP Command Kit, The IEP Ready Room, the IEP Calendar + Email Updates, or any other product we offer (the “Products”), or communicate with us by email, phone, or otherwise. It also explains the choices and rights you have.
By using the Site or Products you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
The short version
We collect the minimum needed to sell you a digital product and support you: your email address, your name if you give it, your payment record (never your card number), the state you tell us your child’s school district is in, your messages to us, and standard technical data about how the Site is used.
We never ask for, and do not want, your child’s records, evaluations, diagnoses, or any document containing student information.
We use email to deliver what you bought, help you use it, and send related educational updates. Every marketing message has an unsubscribe link.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, or when the law requires.
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing info@iepcommandkit.com.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
The Site and Products are operated by Wand Compliance LLC, a Virginia limited liability company doing business as The Ready Seat and The IEP Command Kit. We are the controller of the personal information described in this Policy, which means we decide how and why it is used.
Mailing address: Wand Compliance LLC, 8401 Mayland Drive, Suite A, Richmond, VA 23294, United States. Email: info@iepcommandkit.com. Phone: (202) 798-2170.
For any privacy question or request, email us with the subject line “Privacy.” Email is the fastest route and creates a record for both of us.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: you give it to us, it is collected automatically when you use the Site, and a small amount comes from the service providers who help us run the business.
Information you give us
Contact details: your email address, and your name if you provide it, when you buy a Product, join a waitlist, download a free resource, or contact us.
Purchase details: what you bought, when, the amount, and your receipt and access records.
Your state: after purchase we ask which state your child’s school district is in so we can send the correct state-level information. Answering is optional, and the answer is not linked to any child.
Communications: the content of emails, support requests, phone calls, survey answers, and any testimonial or feedback you choose to send us.
Marketing preferences: whether you have subscribed to or unsubscribed from our emails.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you pay, Stripe collects your card or wallet details directly. We never see or store your full card number, security code, or wallet credentials. We receive confirmation of payment, the card brand and last four digits, the billing name and postal code you entered, and a transaction identifier, which we keep for receipts, refunds, tax, and fraud prevention. Stripe’s use of your information is governed by Stripe’s privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site or open the delivery portal, we and our service providers collect standard technical information: your IP address, the approximate location derived from it (country, region, and city), browser and device type, operating system, language, screen size, the page that referred you, the pages you view, the links and buttons you click, the time and length of your visit, and whether an email we sent was opened or a link in it was clicked. Our website host, Framer, provides privacy-focused analytics that we use to understand traffic and improve the Site. Where we use advertising pixels, they collect similar information, as described in Section 6.
Information from others
We may receive limited information from our service providers, such as fraud-risk signals from Stripe, delivery and engagement data from our email platform, and aggregated campaign performance data from advertising platforms. We do not buy personal information from data brokers, and we are not a data broker.
What we do not collect
We do not collect Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, or health or medical records. We do not ask about your child’s diagnosis, disability category, or medical history, and we ask you not to tell us. If you choose to mention your child’s disability or health in a message to us, we use that information only to answer your message, we do not add it to any marketing or analytics system, and we delete the message on the schedule in Section 9.
3. Children’s privacy and student records
The Site and Products are for parents, guardians, and caregivers. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not direct any part of the Site to them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Just as important: we do not ask for, need, or want information about your child. The Products are templates you complete on your own device. Please do not send us your child’s name, IEP, evaluations, diagnoses, report cards, school emails, or any other document containing student information, and do not upload them to any form on the Site. If you send us such a document by mistake, we will delete it without reading it further and confirm by email.
We are not a school, a school district, or a contractor of either, and we do not receive education records under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). We never use real families’ meeting recordings, records, or documents as source material for the Products. Examples in the Products are fictional or fully anonymized.
4. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
Deliver what you bought: process your payment, send your receipt and access link, run the delivery portal, and keep The IEP Ready Room and any add-on working for you.
Support you: answer your questions, restore lost access, process refunds, and resolve disputes.
Communicate with you: send transactional messages about your purchase, onboarding materials that help you use the Products, and related educational updates (see Section 5).
Personalize content: for example, send state-level information for the state you selected.
Improve the Site and Products: understand which pages and materials are used, fix problems, and decide what to build next.
Market our Products: show and measure advertising, and understand how visitors reach the Site.
Protect the business and our customers: detect and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and violations of our Terms of Service.
Comply with law: keep tax and accounting records, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our legal rights.
We may also use information in de-identified or aggregated form that cannot reasonably identify you, for any purpose, and we commit not to try to re-identify it. We do not make decisions about you using automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not engage in profiling of that kind.
5. Email and other communications
When you buy a Product we use email to deliver it and to help you use it.
By completing a purchase, you agree to receive transactional receipts, onboarding materials, and related educational updates. You may opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link.
A few details:
Transactional messages, such as your receipt, your access link, a password-free login link, a refund confirmation, or a notice about a change to these terms or to a Product you bought, are sent because they are part of the service. They are limited to what you need and are not marketing.
Onboarding and educational messages help you get the first document out the door, explain how the materials work, and share updates relevant to parents in the IEP process. Every one includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out by emailing info@iepcommandkit.com. Unsubscribing never affects your access to what you bought.
If you bought the IEP Calendar + Email Updates, the deadline reminders and rule-change alerts are the product itself. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop them. To stop those alerts, email us and we will turn them off.
We send email through a third-party email platform that records whether messages are delivered, opened, or clicked, which helps us keep the list clean and improve what we send.
We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. Every marketing email identifies the sender, includes our mailing address, and includes a working opt-out, and we honor opt-out requests within ten business days.
We do not send marketing text messages. If we ever offer them, we will ask for your separate consent first. If you call our phone number, we may keep a note of the call to help you; we do not record calls.
6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising technology
Cookies are small files placed on your device. Pixels are tiny images or scripts that send information about your visit to a provider. We use these tools in three ways.
Essential: cookies and similar tools that make the Site and checkout work, keep the checkout secure, and remember your preferences. These cannot be turned off without breaking the Site.
Analytics: Framer’s built-in analytics measure visits, page views, referrers, and interactions without third-party advertising cookies. If we add other analytics tools in the future, we will update this Policy.
Advertising: we may use advertising pixels, such as the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel, to measure whether our ads work and to show ads to people who visited the Site. These pixels can send the pages you viewed, the actions you took, and a hashed version of your email address to the advertising platform, which may combine it with information it already holds about you. Advertising platforms act as independent controllers of the data they receive, under their own policies.
Your choices: most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org, and from Meta through your Meta ad preferences. You can also turn on the Global Privacy Control signal in a supporting browser (see Section 14), or email us to opt out of advertising pixels for your visits. Blocking advertising cookies does not stop ads; it makes them less relevant to you.
7. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information and we do not give it to anyone for their own marketing. We share it only in these situations:
Service providers who work on our behalf under contract, including Stripe (payments), Framer (website hosting and analytics), our email platform (currently Kit), video hosting providers for The IEP Ready Room, customer support and scheduling tools, and advertising platforms for measurement. They may use your information only to provide their service to us and must protect it.
Advertising platforms, to the limited extent described in Section 6, which some state laws treat as a “sale” or “sharing.” Section 8 explains how to opt out.
Professional advisers, such as accountants, lawyers, and insurers, when needed to run the business.
Legal and safety reasons: to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, or court order; to respond to a lawful request from a government authority; to enforce our Terms of Service; to detect and prevent fraud or abuse; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, the public, or us.
Business transfers: if we sell, merge, or transfer all or part of the business, your information may be transferred to the successor, who must honor this Policy.
With your direction: for example, if you ask us to send something to a third party.
We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you with anyone.
8. Selling or sharing personal information
We do not sell personal information for money. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws, letting an advertising platform collect information through a pixel for cross-context behavioral advertising can count as “sharing” or a “sale.” To the extent that applies to us, you can opt out at any time by emailing info@iepcommandkit.com with the subject line “Do not sell or share” or by enabling the Global Privacy Control in your browser.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give rise to a right to limit under California law.
California “Shine the Light” notice: we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. Nevada residents: we do not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law, and you may submit a request confirming that by emailing us.
9. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above.
Purchase and payment records: at least seven years, to meet tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations.
Access records: for as long as you hold a purchase, so we can restore access and honor updates.
Email subscription and preference records: for as long as you are subscribed, plus a record of your unsubscribe so we do not email you again.
Support messages and call notes: up to three years after the matter is closed.
Analytics data: in aggregated form indefinitely. Identifiable technical logs are typically kept for no more than 12 months.
When information is no longer needed we delete it or de-identify it. Where deletion is not immediately possible, for example in backups, we isolate it from further use until it can be deleted.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the Site, payment processing handled entirely by Stripe, access controls and two-factor authentication on our business accounts, least-privilege access for anyone who works with us, and reputable providers that maintain their own security programs.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Your access link is personal to you; do not share it. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and any regulator as required by law, including under Virginia’s data breach notification statute.
11. Your choices
Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or write to us.
Cookies and advertising: use your browser settings, the industry opt-out pages in Section 6, or the Global Privacy Control.
Your state selection: email us to change or remove it.
Access and deletion: email us to request a copy of your personal information or its deletion. Deleting your information ends your access to the delivery portal and The IEP Ready Room, because we can no longer verify who you are. The files you already downloaded remain yours.
Corrections: email us to fix inaccurate information.
Testimonials: email us to withdraw a testimonial or review you gave us, and we will remove it from the Site and from future marketing.
12. Your privacy rights
Residents of Virginia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and a growing number of other states have specific rights under state privacy laws, including the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act. Some of these laws apply only to businesses above certain size thresholds, and we may be below them. We honor the following requests for everyone, wherever you live:
Know and access: confirm whether we process your personal information and receive a copy of it.
Correct: fix inaccurate personal information.
Delete: have us delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal retention requirements.
Portability: receive your information in a portable, readily usable format.
Opt out: of targeted advertising, of the sale or sharing of personal information, and of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects (we do no such profiling).
Non-discrimination: we will not deny you Products, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a right.
How to exercise your rights
Email info@iepcommandkit.com with the subject line “Privacy request,” or write to us at the mailing address in Section 1. We will verify your identity by matching your request to the email address on your purchase or subscription, and we may ask for additional information if needed. We respond within 45 days and may extend once by another 45 days where permitted, telling you why. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authority; we may still verify with you directly. We do not charge a fee for requests unless they are manifestly unfounded or excessive.
If we decline a request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line “Privacy appeal.” We will respond to an appeal in writing within 45 days. If you are not satisfied with the result, you may contact your state attorney general; Virginia residents may contact the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia.
California notice at collection
In the last 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (email address, name, IP address); customer records (purchase history, billing name and postal code); commercial information (Products purchased); internet or network activity (pages viewed, interactions, email engagement); approximate geolocation derived from IP address; and the state you select. We collect them for the purposes in Section 4, keep them as described in Section 9, and disclose them to the service providers in Section 7. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by California law, and we do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.
13. Users outside the United States
We are based in the United States and process information here. If you use the Site or Products from outside the United States, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism with our providers.
If the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, our legal bases are: performance of a contract (delivering and supporting your purchase); our legitimate interests (running, securing, and improving the business, and marketing our Products to existing customers, balanced against your rights); your consent (for non-essential cookies and, where required, marketing); and legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
You have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal information, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that already occurred. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, email info@iepcommandkit.com.
14. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no accepted standard for it, so the Site does not respond to it. We do treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from a supporting browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser, where the law requires.
15. Testimonials and public content
If you send us a testimonial, review, or story, we publish it only with your permission, and we ask before using your full name, photo, or any detail that could identify your child. We may edit for length or clarity without changing the meaning. You can withdraw permission at any time by emailing us, and we will remove the content from the Site and from future marketing within ten business days. If a testimonial was given in exchange for a free product or other consideration, we disclose that where it appears.
16. Links to other sites
The Site may link to other websites, such as government resources, our payment processor, or scheduling tools. Their privacy practices are their own. Please read their policies before giving them information.
17. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as our practices or the law change. We will post the revised Policy here with a new effective date. If a change materially reduces your rights or changes how we use information you already gave us, we will notify you by email or with a notice on the Site before it takes effect. The effective date at the top tells you when this version began to apply.
